A warrant has been issued for the arrest of William Aurelio Romero Chavez, 34, who is accused of sexually assaulting two girls under the age of 13, according to the Prince William Police Department.

An investigation began on Sept. 6, when detectives with the Special Victims Bureau were told by one of the victim's family members that Romero Chavez had sexually assaulted the girl at a Woodbridge home between March 2018 and July 2019, they said.

During the investigation, authorities say they also learned that the man was accused of sexually assaulting a second underage girl during that same timeframe.

Both victims knew Romero Chavez at the time of the alleged incidents, police said.

A warrant for his arrest was issued on Nov. 8.

He is described as a Hispanic man who stands at 5'11' and weighs 245 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes, authorities said.
